Since the beginning of April, some users have experienced issues with the Python engine, which has been stalling while loading code bots.
After Chrome's v100 update, our Chrome users reported being unable to load the Python Code Editor. This hiccup with the Chrome browser also means that this issue affects our Brave and Chromium users. Despite our best efforts during recent investigations, the root cause of the conflict between Chrome v100 and the Trality Python Engine has yet to be determined. While we have not yet been able to reproduce the cause of the problem, we continue to work assiduously to resolve this issue as quickly as possible for our users. We are reasonably certain that the issue is being caused by a conflict between the platform and a bug within the latest Chrome update.
Some users have reported being able to use the following suggestions as a workaround to prevent the issue:
- Clearing the cache & refreshing the page.
For Chrome:
Go to the three-dot menu at the upper right of Chrome and select
More tools > Clear browsing data.
For Firefox:
Go to the hamburger menu and select
Options > Privacy & Security.
- Opening Chrome DevTools while refreshing the page.
To open Chrome DevTools:
Press Command+Option+J (Mac) or Control+Shift+J (Windows, Linux, Chrome OS)
or
Go to the three-dot menu at the upper right of Chrome and select
More Tools > Developer Tools.
We are continuing to investigate the issue in order to find a clear and permanent resolution. Nevertheless, for practicality's sake, we recommend switching from Chrome to Firefox when using Trality if this issue impacts you in order to access the Python Editor without any inconvenience(s).
Thank you for your patience and we will update the Trality community once this issue has been resolved!
