Margin Trading is currently only supported for Binance.
Enabling Margin Trading on Binance
In order to add a Margin Trading account on Trality, you first need to enable the margin balance on your Binance account. Please follow Binance's official FAQ. Do note that Binance will ask you to complete a questionnaire to assess whether you are aware of the risks of margin trading.
Funding your Margin balance
Binance separates your existing spot balance from your margin balance. This ensures that not the entirety of your assets will serve as collateral for any borrowing activities, but only what is inside your margin balance. Thus, in order to start with margin trading, you need to transfer assets from your spot balance to your margin balance.
Creating an API Key
The final step to make your Binance margin balance available for trading on Trality is to create an API key. Simply follow Binance's official FAQ on how to create an API key.
When creating the API key, ensure to tick the checkboxes for:
- Enable Spot & Margin Trading
- Enable Margin Loan, Repay & Transfer
Adding the exchange to Trality
Please follow the tutorial on how to add a Binance exchange account. When adding the Binance API key, ensure to enable the toggle "Margin Account".
Once you added the exchange, Trality will automatically pull your margin balance and will only use the margin balance for trading.
